Autumn Dog Friendly breaks in Torquay

20th August, 2022

The summer of 2022 has been a real scorcher. It has broken previous patterns of hot May and June followed by a wet and gloomy July and August. And despite the media's constant doom-mongering most of us have enjoyed the summer weather content in the knowledge that in just a few weeks the season will change, rain will return and the reservoirs will fill and hose pipe bans can be forgotten for another year.

Even though the English Riviera remained cooler than othe parts of the UK, those of us with pets have had to adapt our behaviour to the hot weather. Early morning walks have been got in before the heat begins to rise at 10am and that has been followed by days keeping our little ones in the shade until the evening when once again we can venture out with them to enjoy an evening walk.

But soon as we enter the cooler days of autumn we will be able to venture out all day and fully enjoy all that this area of south Devon has to offer.

There is an abundance of places you can take you dog and most won't cost you a penny.
